Meet the Founder

Discovering Minds is a youth mentoring program founded by Frances deWindt.  Frances earned an A.A.S. in Paralegal Studies, a B.S. in Business Administration, and a Master's in Management and Leadership, Frances brings over 15 years of experience in Operational Excellence to her mentoring work.

Frances's journey to founding this program is rooted in her lifelong passion for leadership and education.

As a transformative leader, Frances also serves as a life coach, helping individuals navigate personal and professional challenges. Her coaching approach emphasizes empowerment, resilience, and the importance of setting and achieving goals, further enhancing her ability to inspire young entrepreneurs.

Frances's personal experiences and overcoming various challenges, have shaped her commitment to mentoring. She believes in turning negatives into positives and leading by example, which motivates her to guide young entrepreneurs in starting their own LLCs.   As a devoted mother of biological, adoptive, bonus children and community leader, she finds fulfillment in developing others, ensuring that the next generation has the tools and support they need to succeed.

Her dedication to impactful leadership is further reflected in her pursuit of a DBA program and current ABD status, emphasizing her commitment to lifelong learning and her mission to empower young minds through the Discovering Minds program.
